First lunar eclipse of the year: There will be changes in the darshan arrangements in temples in Jaipur city
Jaipur. The first lunar eclipse of the year will occur on March 3, which will be visible only for about 20 minutes in Jaipur. Here moonrise will occur at 6:22 pm, while the eclipse will end at 6:47 pm. Because of this, city residents will be able to see only the last phase of the eclipse.
This eclipse is falling on the day of Shri Satyanarayan Purnima, due to which its religious importance has also increased. Manas Goswami, the service officer of Govinddevji temple, said that according to Indian time, the eclipse will last from 3:21 pm to 6:47 pm and the total duration will be 4 hours 26 minutes. The scene of ‘Blood Moon’ can also be seen in many parts of the country. However, due to late moonrise in Jaipur, the full phase will not be visible.
According to Manas Goswami, the sutak of lunar eclipse starts 9 hours before the eclipse starts. Accordingly, Sutak will become effective from around 6:55 am on March 3. As soon as the Sutak is installed, the doors of most of the temples will be closed. During this period, worship, touching idols and eating food are considered prohibited. Due to the lunar eclipse, there will be changes in the darshan arrangements in the temples of the city. There will be no Gwal, Sandhya and Shayan Darshan in Govind Dev Ji Temple on March 3. However, special darshan will continue during the eclipse period, so that devotees will be able to have darshan at the scheduled time.
