300 soldiers deployed for security during Holi, patrolling started with 33 vehicles

The police and administration have made tight security arrangements to ensure that the festival of Holi is celebrated in a peaceful environment in the city and the entire district. In view of security, 300 police personnel have been deployed in the city and surrounding villages. Police officers and soldiers are patrolling with 33 vehicles. To ensure tight security arrangements for the Holi festival, the police and administration officials demonstrated their strength by conducting flag marches in the city and surrounding villages, so that the hooliganism remains calm and the festival of Holi is celebrated in a better environment.

Holika Dahan was done after worshiping on the late night of March 2 in the city and many villages. At the same time, Holika Dahan will be done in many villages and places on the night of March 3 and on March 4, Holi, the festival of Rang-Gulal, will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in the entire area. Police and administration have made strict arrangements to ensure that Holi festival is celebrated in a peaceful environment in the entire district. Before Holika Dahan, police officers and soldiers, riding in two-wheeler and four-wheelers, started from the guarded center Dhamtari, passed through the major intersections and crowded areas of the city, Lakshmi Niwas, Ambedkar Chowk, Ratnabandha, Muzgahan, Makai Chowk, Sihawa Chowk, Bus Stand, Arjuni Mod and ended at Naharnaka Chowk in front of Vindhyavasini Temple. During the flag march, communication was established with the general public and assurance of security was given and a clear warning was given to anti-social elements.

SP Suraj Singh Parihar said that more than 300 police forces have been deployed for the Holi festival. Patrolling is being done with 33 four-wheelers. Besides, patrolling is also going on with 15 bikes. Reserve forces including two QRT teams and 23 fixed pickets have been deployed, so that any untoward situation during Holi festival can be easily dealt with. A strict vigil is being kept on miscreants, illegal liquor traders and anti-social elements. To celebrate the festival in a peaceful, safe and cordial environment, special police arrangements have been imposed from 4 pm on March 2 till further orders. SP Suraj Singh Parihar is continuously monitoring the entire system. Whereas ASP Shailendra Kumar Pandey has been appointed officer in-charge. Clear responsibilities have been assigned to the concerned gazetted officers and police station in-charges in section Dhamtari, Kurud, Nagari and Keregaon-Akladogri areas.

Police personnel have been deployed with 23 fixed pickets and adequate reserve force along with bodyguard helmets and Balwa drill material. Holika Dahan will be performed at about 100 to 110 places in the city, including small and big places. Special security arrangements have been made for Holi festival. Continuous patrolling is being ensured by deploying additional police forces in sensitive areas, religious places and crowded places of the city and villages. There will be continuous monitoring of all patrolling parties by the control room. District Special Branch and Cyber ​​Team are keeping a close watch on misleading, objectionable and inciting religious sentiments on internet media platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp etc.). Intensive checking is being done at places like hotels, lodges, bus stands, railway stations, guest houses etc.

Holika Dahan should not be done under electric poles.
Keeping in view the ongoing board examinations, special care will be taken to ensure that there is no excessive noise. To ensure that Holika Dahan does not take place under electric wires and poles, coordination has been established with the concerned departments and staff with fire fighting vehicles have been deployed.
