Doubting wife’s character, husband brutally kills wife by stabbing her with knife

Ghaziabad. Painter Ghanshyam, living near DLF MM Road of Ankur Vihar police station area in Ghaziabad district, murdered his wife Meenu (50) by stabbing her with a knife at around 3 pm on Tuesday evening. The father also attacked the younger daughter Himanshi who came to save her mother with a knife.

Police arrived on the information of nearby people and admitted the injured daughter to GTB Hospital in Delhi for treatment. The police has sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem. After committing the incident the accused fled from the spot.

Meenu, originally from Rajasthan, lived in a flat on DLF MM Road in Ankur Vihar police station area with her husband Ghanshyam, elder daughter Bhavana, younger daughter Himanshi and son Diwang. Ankur Vihar ACP Gyan Prakash Rai said that information was received from the police control room at around 3:30 pm that Ghanshyam had attacked his wife Meenu with a knife.

He told that after getting information about the incident, when the police reached the spot, they saw that Meenu and her daughter Himanshi were lying on the ground soaked in blood. The police admitted both of them to the hospital. The doctor declared Meenu dead during treatment. Himanshi has been referred to GTB Hospital in Delhi as her condition becomes critical.

He told that after the incident, Ghanshyam fled from the spot. During the incident, Meenu’s elder daughter, who works in Burari, Delhi, had gone to work. There was younger daughter Himanshi and son at home. ACP said that initial investigation revealed that Ghanshyam was suspicious of his wife’s character. There used to be a dispute between the two regarding this. The real reason will be known after the arrest of Ghanshyam. The police team is searching for Ghanshyam.
