There is no sign of stopping the war in West Asia, the barrage of drones and missiles intensifies

Washington/Tehran/Tel Aviv. The war between America, Israel and Iran shows no signs of stopping even on the fifth day. Continuous attacks are being carried out from both sides. America is continuously attacking Iranian targets.

Israel warned civilians in large parts of southern Lebanon to evacuate, while Iran launched a barrage of missile and drone attacks on the Gulf country. As the situation worsened, the US embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait were closed.

According to Iranian media reports, a drone attack was again carried out on the Ras Tanura refinery of Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco. It is the world’s largest oil company. It was also attacked by Iran two days ago. This refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in Saudi Arabia. More than 5.50 lakh barrels of crude oil is refined here every day.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Army informed about the latest attacks in Iran. According to this, Iran’s missile bases, dozens of bases of IRGC’s volunteer paramilitary wing ‘Basij’ and internal security command centers were targeted.

In Israeli media reports, Israel Defense Forces claimed that its F-35 fighter plane has shot down a Russian-made Iranian YAK-130 fighter jet over Tehran.

Lebanon’s capital Beirut was shaken early in the morning by Israel’s attack. Israel launched a series of attacks in the southern suburbs, razing residential buildings and damaging a hotel. On the other hand, Hezbollah used long-range missiles for the first time in this battle. After the sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, citizens had to go to shelters.

According to the Washington Post, Admiral Brad Cooper, head of the US Central Command, said that the US is attacking targets in Iran around the clock. Nearly 2000 targets have been targeted in the last less than 100 hours. The US Navy has sunk 17 Iranian warships, including its most modern submarine.

No Iranian naval ships are operating in the Arabian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman. Following Iran’s retaliatory attacks, the US has advised its citizens to immediately leave the area. Efforts are being made to evacuate Americans through charter flights from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

However, evacuation operations have been complicated by the closure of embassies and airfields. Iran claimed to have fired about 40 missiles on Wednesday morning. An Iranian ballistic missile hit an air base near Doha, according to Qatar’s Defense Ministry, but there were no casualties.

Another missile was shot down in the air by Qatar’s air defense system. According to Kuwait’s military, several hostile targets were intercepted, but some people were injured and caused damage when debris fell on residential areas. Saudi Arabia has also confirmed the shooting down of a drone in the eastern part.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused US President Donald Trump of diplomatic betrayal. He said treating complex nuclear negotiations like a real estate deal and spreading big lies gives rise to unrealistic expectations.

On the other hand, Iran has claimed to have elected Mojtaba Khamenei, son of late supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the new supreme leader. However, its official confirmation will come after Khamenei’s funeral. According to the government TV channel, the funeral process of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will start at 10 pm local time tonight.

The public will be allowed to pay their last respects in Tehran for three days. The date of the last visit will be announced later. Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz said that if anyone becomes the new leader in Iran after Ali Khamenei, he will also be eliminated. Katz also said that no matter the name or place, Israel would find him.

Tension is at its peak across West Asia amid air strikes and missile attacks continuing for the fifth consecutive day. Experts believe that if a diplomatic solution is not found soon, this conflict could take the form of a wider regional war.
