Kathmandu. This time 132 new MPs have been elected in the House of Representatives elections of Nepal, who will enter the parliamentary process for the first time. The largest share among the new MPs is from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, whose 110 MPs have reached Parliament for the first time. Among them is Prime Ministerial candidate Balendra Shah, who contested the elections for the first time. He defeated former Prime Minister KP Oli, who was at the pinnacle of power, four times and is now preparing to become the Prime Minister with two-thirds majority.
A wave of change is visible even in old and established parties. 11 new leaders from Nepali Congress have been elected as public representatives. Apart from this, 4 new MPs from CPN UML, 3 from Nepali Communist Party and 3 from Shram Sanskriti Party have reached Parliament.
Similarly, Geeta Devkota and Prem Prasad Dangal were elected from Bagmati state. Jagat Timilsina and Yadukta Devkota won from Gandaki region. Ram Kumari Jhanki, Chandrabahadur KC and Vasudev Ghimire were elected from Lumbini region. Meena Singh Rakhal and Lalit Jung Shahi were elected from Kanarli region, while Leela Kumari Bhandari and Khamb Bahadur Khati from Sudurpaschim region have become members of the National Assembly.
