IPL: There is tremendous enthusiasm among the fans regarding IPL 2026. It was not yet clear when its first match would be played. Now the complete picture has come out and it has been sealed. BCCI has released the schedule of the first phase. It is also given that the first match will be between which two teams. This time the first match of IPL will be on Saturday, but first there will be only one match each on Saturday and Sunday, there is no double header on this day.
The match between RCB and SRH will be played in Bengaluru on March 28.
BCCI has released the schedule for the first phase of IPL 2026. The current schedule is from March 28 to April 12. The schedule of the remaining matches will also be released soon. The first match will be between the current IPL champion RCB and SRH i.e. Sunrisers Hyderabad. This match is to be held in Bengaluru. The second day is Sunday and on this day, the match of Mumbai Indians against KKR has been decided in Mumbai. The first double header of this year will be played on April 4. This day is Saturday. In the first match of the day, the teams of Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will face each other from 3 o’clock. After this, Gujarat Titans will face Rajasthan Royals in the evening.
Two matches will be played on Sunday, April 12
There are again two matches on the next day i.e. Sunday. The first match on this day will be between Sunrisers Hyderabad and LSG from 3 pm. After this, the match between RCB and CSK will be played from 7 pm on the same day. Now the schedule till 12th April has come, in which there will be a face to face between Mumbai Indians and RCB in Mumbai. It is expected that the schedule of the second phase will also be announced by next week. It is believed that assembly elections are to be held in five states, after the announcement of their dates, the schedule will be released again by BCCI.
