Israel US Iran War: PM Modi spoke to Iranian President Pejeshkian on phone

New Delhi: Amidst the war in the Middle East, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pejeshkian over phone for the first time. He talked to the President on many issues including the security of Indians. PM Modi has mentioned on his X account the phone conversation he had with Iranian President Pejeshkian. During this, PM Modi expressed his commitment to dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability.

PM Modi wrote on X
“Talked to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pejeshkian on the grave situation in the region. Expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions in the region, loss of civilian life and property and damage to civilian infrastructure. Safety and security of Indian citizens and the need for unhindered movement of goods and energy remain India’s top priorities. Reiterated India’s commitment to peace and stability and appealed for dialogue and diplomacy.”
