‘The Narmada Story’ will become an echo of women power, poster increases curiosity

Mumbai . On the occasion of International Women’s Day, director Zaigham Imam has released the first poster of his upcoming film ‘The Narmada Story’, giving a glimpse of a powerful social story. Set in the backdrop of Madhya Pradesh and the Narmada River region, this film is a powerful social crime drama, which, inspired by true events, tries to bring the courage, struggle and fight for justice of women on the big screen.
The starcast of the film is also very impressive. In this, Ashwini Kalsekar, Simala Prasad and National Award winning actress Anjali Patil will be seen in lead roles. Along with them, experienced actors like Zarina Wahab, Raghubir Yadav, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharad Singh and Ishtiaq Khan will also be seen playing important roles.

The story of the film revolves around Agni Dhurve, a tribal woman who is ready to go to any extent to save her daughter. In his fight, Police Inspector Narmada Raikwar supports him, whose character is played by real-life IPS officer and actress Simala Prasad. Together, both women stand up against criminals who, based on their influence, consider themselves above the law.
Director Zaigham Imam says, “This film is inspired by true events of rural India. Releasing its poster on Women’s Day is very special for me. It is the story of a mother’s indomitable courage and a female police officer’s honesty. When women stand up against injustice, only then does change begin.”

Co-producer Piyush Singh believes, “‘The Narmada Story’ is not just a crime drama, but a dedication to those women who have the courage to stand against injustice even in difficult circumstances. The presence of a strong cast makes this story more impactful.”

The film, being made under the banner of AB Infosoft Creation, is co-produced by Golden Ratio Films. According to the makers, ‘The Narmada Story’, inspired by true events and the spirit of women power, is set to release in theaters this summer. The film promises to deliver a strong and thought-provoking message to society along with entertainment.
