At the end of Navratri, the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and devotion on 27th March.
Special significance of Vasantik Navratri
Maharajshree told that Chaitra Navratri is also called Vasantik Navratri, because it falls in the spring season. After the end of the harsh winter, when the warm weather begins in March-April, new life awakens in nature. It is a time of seasonal change, which is considered a symbol of strength and new beginnings in Hinduism. For this reason it is called Vasantik Navratri in the name of spring.
He told that from this day Lord Brahma started the creation of the universe and Mother Parvati was also born on this date. Among the nine forms of Mother Durga, Mother Shailputri is worshiped on the first day, who is the form of Mother Parvati. The coronation of King Vikramaditya took place on this day, hence the beginning of the Hindu New Year i.e. Vikram Samvat is also considered to be from this day.
Auspicious time for Ghatasthapana
According to Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj, the auspicious time for establishment of Ghat (Kalash) on March 19 will be from 6:52 to 7:53 am. Apart from this, Abhijeet Muhurta from 12:05 to 12:53 pm is also considered auspicious for establishing the Kalash. He told that before any puja, fast or ritual, establishment of Kalash has special significance. In the scriptures, Kalash is considered to be the form of Lord Vishnu, hence all the auspicious works like puja-havan are done only after establishing the Kalash.
Worship of nine forms of Goddess Durga during Navratri
Nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped in the nine days of Navratri – 19 March – Maa Shailputri, 20 March – Maa Brahmacharini, 21 March – Maa Chandraghanta, 22 March – Maa Kushmanda, 23 March – Maa Skandamata, 24 March – Maa Katyayani, 25 March – Maa Kalratri, 26 March – Maa Mahagauri (Kanya Puja), 27 March – Maa Siddhidatri. (Kanya Puja) Maharajshree told that this year Maa Durga will come riding on a palanquin, which is not considered auspicious, but will depart riding on an elephant, which is a sign of happiness, prosperity and prosperity. On this day, the festival of Ram Navami will also be celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Navratri comes four times a year
Maharajshree told that Navratri comes four times a year. Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri are for general devotees, while two other Navratri are called Gupt Navratri, which have special importance for Tantra Sadhana. He said that due to seasonal changes four times a year, toxicity in food items increases. In such a situation, fasting and eating fruits during Navratri gives new energy and strength to the body.
Chant Durga Saptashati and Navarna Mantra
Maharajshree advised reciting Durga Saptashati during Navratri and chanting the Navarna mantra – ‘Ain Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vicche’. This brings happiness, prosperity and prosperity in life. He told that one must worship the three main forms of Mother – Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati.
