Sagar: Stabbed knife in auto driver’s chest for Rs 100, accused arrested

Following the strict instructions of Superintendent of Police Vikash Kumar Shahwal in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, Motinagar police station took prompt action and arrested a vicious criminal who had tried to take the life of a young man for just a few rupees. Police have also recovered the knife used in the attack from the possession of the accused.

Motinagar police station said that the incident occurred at around 09:00 pm on March 16. The complainant Mohammad Wahab (30 years), a resident of Gopalganj, had reached Baghraj Temple by taking his auto. Then accused Sunil Sahu came there and started demanding Rs 100 from Wahab for drinking liquor.

When Wahab refused to give the money, the accused started abusing. The dispute escalated so much that the accused, threatening to kill him, suddenly took out a knife and stabbed Wahab hard on his left chest. Wahab was seriously injured in the attack and started bleeding profusely.

On the complaint of the complainant, a case was registered under sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) at Motinagar police station. Considering the seriousness of the case, a special team was formed under the guidance of senior officials. On the basis of information from informers and technical surveillance, the police detained the accused Sunil (34), son of Daulat Sahu, from Desai Bagicha, Gopalganj.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime, after which the knife used in the crime was seized at his instance and presented in the court. The following team under the leadership of Motinagar police station in-charge Inspector Jaswant Rajput had a special contribution in carrying out this action.
