Haridwar: Firing on manager of chemical company, referred to AIIMS in critical condition.
Haridwar. There was a sensation in Roorkee district late on Wednesday evening when an unknown assailant opened fire on the manager of a chemical company. The manager was seriously injured by the bullet.
With the help of local people, he was immediately taken to the government hospital in Roorkee, where after first aid, in view of his critical condition, he was referred to AIIMS hospital in Rishikesh.
According to the information, this incident took place in Raghunath Plot area located in Amber Talab Mohalla of Ganganahar Kotwali area when chemical company manager Deependra was returning home after completing his duty late on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, the unknown assailant already sitting in ambush suddenly opened fire on them. As soon as the bullet hit, Deependra got seriously injured and fell on the ground, while the attacker fled from the spot.
Hearing the sound of gunshot, there was panic among the people nearby and soon a crowd of people gathered at the spot. The local people immediately took the injured Deependra to the government hospital in Roorkee for treatment.
Seeing his critical condition, after giving first aid, the doctors in the hospital referred him to AIIMS Rishikesh for better treatment. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police also reached the spot and started investigation in the entire area.
Police have started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site so that the attacker can be identified. Police are also investigating this attack by linking it to the angle of old rivalry. Police teams have been deployed to search for the absconding accused.
SP Dehat Shekhar Chandra Suyal said that the incident is being investigated from all aspects. He said that the police are making continuous efforts to identify and arrest the accused and the accused will be arrested soon. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident.
