Central government claims supply of crude oil is sufficient, supply normal despite worrying situation
New Delhi. The Central Government has said that despite the situation of LPG being worrying due to the war in West Asia, the supply of LPG, PNG and CNG in the country is normal. The government has claimed that the supply of crude oil is sufficient.
Refineries are working at full capacity and there is no shortage at petrol pumps. All Indian ships in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz are safe and trade has not been affected.
Petroleum Ministry Joint Secretary Sujata Sharma said on Thursday that LPG and PNG consumers have been given the highest priority. Crude oil supplies are adequate and refineries are operating at full capacity. Petrol pumps are operating normally and there is no shortage anywhere. The supply of domestic PNG and CNG is 100 percent assured.
