Software engineer’s health deteriorates in train, he dies
Auraiya. A software engineer going from Delhi to Lucknow by Gomti Express died due to sudden health deterioration. The incident created panic among the co-passengers. On receiving the information, Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Police reached the spot and took necessary action.
According to the information received, Manvendra Singh (50), resident of Alambagh, Lucknow, was traveling on seat number 48 in coach number D1 of Gomti Express at around 10 pm on Friday night. His health suddenly deteriorated during the journey. Railway control was informed by the co-passengers, after which the Railway Protection Force team showed promptness and took him off the train and took him to the government hospital located in Dibiyapur. The doctors present in the hospital declared him dead after investigation. On receiving information about the incident, Railway Police also reached the spot, got the Panchnama of the body filled and sent it for post-mortem.
Outpost in-charge Ajit Singh and head constables Satyapal Singh and Chhabi Ram Singh said that prima facie the cause of death appears to be heart failure. However, the real reason will become clear only after the post mortem report comes. It was told that the deceased was working as a software engineer in a private company in Noida. His younger brother is a manager in Bank of India in Mumbai. On receiving information about the incident, family members also reached the spot. The deceased has left behind two daughters.
