The weather of Rajasthan changed due to western disturbance, there was a break in the heat.

Jaipur. Due to the continuously active western disturbances in Rajasthan, sudden changes in the weather are being seen. While the effect of heat had started increasing till a few days ago, now clouds, rain and cold wind have brought down the temperature. A new system became active on Saturday, due to which the weather completely changed in the border districts like Jaisalmer, Barmer and Sriganganagar.

During the last 24 hours, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar and Phalodi areas received light to moderate rain with strong winds. Due to heavy rains in Ramgarh and Kuchdi areas of Jaisalmer, the fields were flooded, due to which the harvested crops got spoiled and the farmers had to suffer losses. The effect of this change in weather was clearly visible on the temperature also. The maximum temperature was measured at 32.2 degrees Celsius in Barmer, 31.4 in Jaisalmer, 32.4 in Jodhpur and 31.6 degrees Celsius in Bikaner.

Even in Jaipur the temperature could reach only 28.6 degrees. The highest temperature of 32.9 degrees was measured in Pali. There has been a decline in day as well as night temperatures. The minimum temperature was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius in almost all the cities of the state. The temperature was measured at 12.9 degrees in Alwar, 15.6 in Churu, 16.7 in Jaipur and 15 degrees in Sikar, due to which a slight coolness is being felt at night.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in eight districts of the state for Sunday. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle along with thunder in many areas of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Jaipur divisions. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, another weak western disturbance has become active, the effect of which will be seen mainly in Western Rajasthan and Shekhawati region. However, after this, the weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of the state for the next four-five days.
