Two robberies in one hour revealed in Kakori, criminal arrested in 48 hours through ‘Yaksha App’

Lucknow. Within 48 hours, the police has successfully exposed two robbery incidents that took place within an hour in Kakori police station area of ​​the capital. Technology played an important role in this action, where the accused were identified with the help of ‘Yaksh App’. According to Kakori Police, on March 19, miscreants had beaten Sumit Tiwari and looted his motorcycle and mobile phone in front of Roshan Lawn on Hardoi Road. Meanwhile, a bike and purse were also looted from a person named Manoj near Maunda Petrol Pump.

After both the incidents, the police immediately registered a case and started investigation and four teams were formed. The footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site was scrutinized. ‘Yaksh App’ was used to identify the suspect, which led to the identification of one of the accused, Ajay Rajput.

Based on surveillance and informer’s information, police arrested Ajay Rajput (22) and Deepanshu alias Lucky (19) during checking at Narona Canal turn on the night of March 22. During interrogation, both of them admitted to carrying out the robbery along with their associates.

The police have recovered a looted motorcycle, both mobile phones, related documents and another bike used in the incident from the possession of the accused. According to the police, this is an organized gang which used to carry out robbery incidents for financial gain. The search for two other accused involved in the case is ongoing and their arrest is expected soon.
