Lucknow . Police have arrested an accused in the case of instigating and threatening suicide in Banthara police station area of the capital. In this case, the family members of the deceased youth had made serious allegations. According to the police, accused Rakesh Kumar was continuously harassing the deceased Bablu (32), resident of village Latifnagar, demanding ₹ 5 lakh. It is alleged that if he did not pay the money, he was being implicated in a false case and was being threatened with death.
Horrible step taken due to mental torture
The investigation revealed that being troubled by the constant pressure and threats, Bablu committed suicide by hanging himself on December 23, 2024. The plaintiff also alleged that the accused Rakesh Kumar was threatening to kill her and her family, after which the matter reached the court. Based on the court order and evidence, Banthara police took action and arrested the accused Rakesh Kumar (44) from Latifnagar area. After his arrest, he has been sent to judicial custody.
This thing came to light during interrogation
The accused told during interrogation that he suspected an affair between his wife and the deceased, due to which he took this step. However, he has declared himself innocent and has said that he will present his side in the court. The police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and started further action.
