Campaign against modified silencers, 11 vehicles and 50 silencers caught, destroyed by bulldozer

Raigarh. Under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh, a special campaign is being run in the district against vehicles fitted with modified silencers.

The joint team of the traffic police and all the police stations is continuously investigating under the Motor Vehicle Act. In this sequence, under the leadership of DSP Traffic Uttam Pratap Singh, an intensive vehicle checking campaign was conducted at various check points of the city.

During the campaign today, 11 such vehicles were caught from different intersections of the city, which were fitted with loud modified silencers. All the vehicles were brought to the traffic police station and action was taken.

The drivers and their parents were called to the police office and given strict advice and warned of strict action if they repeat the violation in future. Along with this, challan action was taken by removing modified silencers from the vehicles.

In the operation being conducted by the police, so far about 50 modified silencers have been seized, which were destroyed by running a bulldozer in the police colony behind the traffic police station.

SSP has appealed to the common citizens to share information about such vehicles through WhatsApp, so that prompt action can be taken. He clearly said that strict action will continue against those who break the rules by installing modified silencers.
