Sensation in Lucknow: Attempt to burn a young man alive over money dispute, accused arrested
Lucknow. A money dispute took a horrifying form in the Aliganj police station area of the capital, where an attempt was made to burn a young man alive by pouring petrol on him. The police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
The incident took place on March 27, 2026, when the accused poured petrol on Rakesh Yadav, a resident of Triveninagar, and set him on fire. The seriously burnt victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, where his treatment is ongoing.
On the complaint of victim Rani Yadav, police registered a case and started investigation. Investigation revealed that two days before the incident, there was a dispute between the accused and the victim regarding money transaction, due to which the accused committed this incident.
On the information of the informer, the police team arrested the accused Amarsen Chaudhary alias Balgar (33) from near Purnia bridge. During interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime and said that in anger he had tried to burn the victim by keeping petrol in advance.
According to the police, the accused also has a criminal history and several serious cases are already registered against him. Further legal action is being taken by amending the sections in the matter.
Police officials say that strict action will continue against such criminals and effective lobbying will be done to give them strict punishment.
