America-Iran conflict at a dangerous turn, ultimatum rejected – attack near nuclear base increases concern

Tehran. Tension between the world’s two biggest powers is once again on the rise. The growing tension between America and Iran now appears to be moving towards open conflict. Recently, Iran has given a sharp reaction by completely rejecting the strict ultimatum given by Donald Trump.

Ali Abdollahi, a senior Iranian military official, described the US warning as an “irresponsible statement made in panic”. He clearly said that Iran is not going to bow down to pressure or threats and is ready to respond to every situation.

In fact, Trump had warned of reaching a deal with Iran within 48 hours or reopening the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. He had indicated that if the deadline was met, America could target Iran’s vital structures. This stance has come to the fore at a time when there were indications of talks till a few days ago.

Meanwhile, news has come to light making the situation more explosive. Iran has alleged that Israel and the US have attacked its nuclear infrastructure. On this issue, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has written a letter to the United Nations, warning that such attacks can put the entire region in radioactive danger.

It is being told that the attack took place near the Bushehr nuclear plant. Although the International Atomic Energy Agency has said that the radiation level is normal at present, it has described the situation as extremely sensitive. According to preliminary information, one security personnel has been killed in the attack and some structures have been damaged, while the main plant is safe.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi has also expressed deep concern over this development. He said that any kind of military action around nuclear sites could lead to a major disaster and could have an impact on the entire world beyond its borders. Overall, the situation seems to be deteriorating rapidly and the eyes of the international community are now fixed on this crisis. If a diplomatic solution is not found in time, this tension can turn into a major conflict.
