gold in international market today
According to tradingeconomics, gold prices fell near $4,600 an ounce in the international market on Monday, continuing their decline from the previous session. The weakening comes after Donald Trump issued a new ultimatum to Iran, in which he warned that if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened, Iran’s power plants and other civilian infrastructure could be attacked. Gold has fallen about 12% year to date, as rising energy prices stoked inflation concerns and strengthened expectations of interest rate hikes.
