Teachers trained to provide AI education to 10 thousand students of Bastar
Jagdalpur. A new color of modernity has started to enter the educational environment of Bastar. The district administration has taken a far-sighted step to make the students here capable of global competition. An intensive three-day teacher training program focused on Artificial Intelligence and 21st century skills was organized grandly at Polytechnic College, Dharampura from 15 to 17 April, 2026.
The reins of this program, which resulted from the joint efforts of Bastar district administration, were in the hands of ‘The Pi Jam Foundation’, where instructor Nayan Sori, with his technical skills, introduced the teachers to the education system of the future. The PPIA Fellows shouldered the responsibility of successful planning and monitoring of the entire program.
The significance of this workshop was further enhanced by the expertise of the participants who participated in it. A total of 25 teachers selected from all the blocks of the district participated in it, having background in important subjects like Computer Science, Mathematics and Science. During the training, emphasis was laid on practical and experimental applications leaving behind traditional teaching methods. Teachers not only learned the nuances of operating AI tools, but also understood how these modern technologies can be made a part of their daily classroom teaching.
The far-reaching impact of this innovative initiative will prove to be a change in the education scenario of Bastar. It is estimated that through this training, more than 10,000 students from class 9th to 12th will be directly benefited, who will now get knowledge of new technologies of the digital age in their own schools. Education Department officials expressed happiness over this, saying that such programs not only expand the capacity of teachers but also mentally prepare students for tomorrow’s career challenges and digital revolution. This event has emerged as a strong proof of the progressive thinking of Bastar.
