Punjab Kings defeat Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs

IPL: Punjab Kings’ winning streak continues in IPL 2026. Punjab now performed brilliantly in the 29th match of IPL 2026, defeating Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs. In this way, Punjab team became the first team to register 5th win this season. Punjab team was already on top in the points table and now with the 5th win, the team has strengthened its hold on number-1.

In the match played in Mullanpur, Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Punjab Kings scored 254 runs losing 7 wickets. Cooper Connolly and Priyansh Arya played explosive innings for Punjab. Cooper scored 87 runs, while Priyansh scored 93 runs. For Lucknow, Prince Yadav and M Siddharth were successful in taking 2-2 wickets.

Lucknow’s innings, which came to chase the mountain-like score of Punjab Kings, had a great start. Ayush Badoni and Mitchell Marsh together scored 61 runs in the powerplay.
