New Delhi. The hope of starting peace talks between America and Iran to end the ongoing tension in West Asia has created an atmosphere of excitement in the markets around the world today. The domestic stock market also remained in a bullish trend during the initial trading due to the expectation of peace talks. Today’s business also started on a strong note. Some time after the market opened, there was some minor selling in order to book profits, but after some time the buyers again made their presence felt in the market. Due to the support of buying, the movement of both Sensex and Nifty indices became bullish. After the first one hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a gain of 0.78 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.77 percent.
After the first hour of trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, shares of Sun Pharmaceuticals, Adani Ports, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra and Tech Mahindra were trading with a strength of 7.36 percent to 1.99 percent. On the other hand, shares of Axis Bank, Shriram Finance, Bharat Electronics, Coal India and Bajaj Finance were seen trading with a weakness of 3.96 per cent to 0.15 per cent.
In the current trading, there was active trading in 2,815 shares in the stock market. Of these, 2,386 shares were trading in the green after earning profits, while 429 shares were trading in the red after incurring losses. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 26 shares remained in the green with the support of buying. On the other hand, four shares were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Whereas out of 50 shares included in Nifty, 42 shares were seen trading in green mark and eight shares were seen trading in red mark.
BSE Sensex opened today at 76,856.05 points with a gain of 191.84 points. Shortly after the start of trading, due to selling pressure, this index fell to the level of 76,754.20 points. After this, buyers made buying efforts, due to which the movement of Sensex increased. With the support of continuous buying, this index jumped by 677.32 points to reach the level of 77,341.53 points around 10 am. After the first one hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am the Sensex was trading at 77,260.28 points with a gain of 596.07 points.
Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty jumped 47.50 points today and started trading at 23,945.45 points. After the market opened, the movement of this index kept fluctuating for some time. Under selling pressure, Nifty fell to the level of 23,936.20 points. On receiving buying support, this index crossed the level of 24 thousand points and reached 24,107.60 points. After continuous buying and selling in the market for the first one hour, at 10:15 am Nifty was trading at 24,084.70 points with a gain of 186.75 points.
Before this, on Friday, the last trading day of last week, the Sensex had closed at the level of 76,664.21 points with a weakness of 999.79 points or 1.29 percent. At the same time, Nifty ended Friday’s trading at the level of 23,897.95 points with a decline of 275.10 points or 1.14 percent.
