Judgment reserved on Javed Siddiqui’s bail plea in Red Fort blast case

New Delhi . Saket Court of Delhi has reserved its decision while hearing the bail plea of ​​Al Falah University founder Javed Ahmed Siddiqui in the case related to Red Fort blast. Additional Sessions Judge Sheetal Chaudhary Pradhan, after hearing the arguments of both the parties, ordered to reserve the decision on the bail plea.

The court had issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on April 6. ED had filed its reply on April 11. Javed Ahmed Siddiqui was arrested by ED on 18 November 2025. Faridabad-based Al Falah University was on the radar of investigating agencies since the Red Fort blast. The three doctors arrested in the case were found to be related to Al Falah University, after which an investigation was started against this university. ED had arrested Javed in the case of terror funding and money laundering.

On January 16, ED had filed a charge sheet against Javed Ahmed Siddiqui and Al Falah Charitable Trust. ED started its investigation after two FIRs were registered by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. The FIR states that Al Falah University gave false information that it had received recognition from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). ED has said that it has informally seized the properties of Al Falah University under the Money Laundering Act.

There was a blast in an i10 car on November 10 near the Red Fort. This car was in the name of Aamir Rashid Ali. 13 people were killed and 32 people were injured in this blast. UGC has filed a complaint against Al Falah University, after which the Crime Branch arrested Javed Ahmed Siddiqui. Following the complaints by UGC, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police had registered two FIRs against Javed Ahmed Siddiqui and arrested him.
