IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans’ resounding win, Chennai Super Kings out of playoff race.

Ahmedabad. In the final match of the league stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Gujarat Titans performed brilliantly and defeated Chennai Super Kings by 89 runs. With this defeat, Chennai Super Kings’ dream of reaching the playoffs was also shattered and the team was out of the tournament. This is considered to be Chennai’s biggest defeat in IPL history in terms of run difference.

In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans, batting first, scored a huge score of 229 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. The top order performed brilliantly for the team and laid the foundation for a big score.

Sai Sudarshan played the most impressive innings for Gujarat, scoring 84 runs in 53 balls. His innings included 7 fours and 4 sixes. Captain Shubhman Gill played a brilliant inning of 64 runs in 37 balls, while Jos Buttler scored 57 runs in 27 balls to put the team in a strong position.

Gujarat’s dominance was also seen in bowling. Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan performed brilliantly and kept the opposition batting order under constant pressure and took three wickets each.

Chennai Super Kings, who came to chase the target, had a very bad start and the entire team was all out for just 140 runs in 13.4 overs. Shivam Dubey played an aggressive inning of 47 runs in 17 balls, but he did not get much support from the other end.
