Women’s T20 World Cup: 11 out of 12 teams including India-England have been announced

Women’s T20 World Cup: Now only a few days are left for the start of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, due to which the teams of total 12 countries participating in it are trying to finalize their preparations. This time this will be the 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup which is being hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board. 12 teams have been divided into two separate groups of 6 each and the first match will be played between the host England and Sri Lanka women’s team. So far, 11 teams participating in the tournament have been announced, in which Sri Lanka is the only team left whose squad has not been announced.

Squads of all the 6 teams included in Group A including India and Pakistan have been announced.
The Indian women’s team, which has reached England, is part of Group A in the T20 World Cup 2026, which includes teams from Pakistan, South Africa, Netherlands, Australia and Bangladesh. The squads of the teams involved in this have been announced, in which Harmanpreet Kaur is handling the captaincy of the Indian team, while the responsibility of captaining the Australian team, which has won the Women’s T20 World Cup trophy 6 times till now, is going to be on the shoulders of Sophie Molineux in the mega tournament. Fatima Sana will captain the Pakistani team.

In Group-B of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, there are three teams which have been successful in winning this trophy once each, which include defending champion New Zealand, apart from host England and the winner of the 2016 edition, West Indies women’s team. Apart from this, Scotland and Ireland are also part of this group in which their squads have been announced, whereas Sri Lanka is the only team left in this group whose squad is yet to be announced. The final match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played on July 7 at the historic Lord’s Stadium in London.
