Know how to make momos at home?
Momos: Momos are very tasty to eat. Everyone likes its taste, from children to adults. However, people are not able to make momos quickly. Sometimes its dough is not prepared properly and sometimes there is something missing in the filling. Actually, whenever ingredients are not added in the right quantity or some things are forgotten to be used, then it is not prepared properly. In such a situation, let us tell you what ingredients are required to make momos and what is the method of making it?
What are the things required to make momos?
To make momos dough, you will need flour, salt, oil and water. For stuffing, you will need cabbage, carrot, onion, garlic, ginger, green chilli, black pepper powder, soya sauce, salt.
How much ingredients are required to make momos?
Ingredients for dough: Maida flour 1 cup, salt as per taste, oil 1 spoon, water to knead the dough.
For the filling: Cabbage 1 cup, Carrot ½ cup, Onion 1, Garlic 1 tbsp, Ginger 1 tsp, Green chilli: 1-2, Black pepper powder ½ tsp, Soy sauce 1 tsp, Salt: as per taste, Oil 1 tbsp
Method of making momos:
Step 1: To make momos, first put flour in a big vessel and then add salt and oil to it, knead a slightly stiff dough and keep it covered for 15 minutes so that it sets.
Step 2: Now, heat oil in a pan, add ginger, garlic and green chillies and let it temper. When it starts crackling, add all the vegetables to it and cook well on high flame for five minutes so that their rawness goes away. Finally add salt, black pepper powder and soy sauce.
Step 3: Now, make small balls of the flour and roll them very thin. Place the stuffing mixture in the center and shape the edges into modaks or gujiyas.
Step 4: Now, boil water in a steamer or large pan. Apply oil on a mesh plate, place the momos and steam them for 10-12 minutes.
Fifth Step: Your hot momos are ready. Serve them with spicy red chutney or mayonnaise.
