Google declared living singer dead

Swaroop Khan: Famous Rajasthani folk singer Swaroop Khan has put an end to the rumors related to his death which spread like wildfire on social media when Google showed him dead on its information page. This is not the first time that rumors of a star’s death have surfaced. Now a new name Swaroop Khan has been added to this list. Singer shared a screenshot of the Google listing, which erroneously listed his date of death as June 2, 2026.

Swaroop Khan posted a screenshot on his Instagram with the caption ‘Abhi hum zinda hain’ along with a laughing emoji and tagged Google India. This post went viral as soon as it was posted on social media. Fans were relieved to learn that the news of the death was false. On one hand, while some people expressed happiness over his recovery in the comments, the other side also questioned Google’s negligence.
Swaroop Khan’s death or rumor
Swaroop Khan came to know about this when he read such news about himself, which came out on June 2. Those reports claimed that Swaroop had died after a wall of a resort collapsed during a massive dust storm in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district. According to PTI, police said that the wall of a resort in Sam Tourist area, located about 45 km from the district headquarters, collapsed due to strong winds late on Monday night, injuring several people.

This 25 year old famous singer had sung a song at that place that evening. During the storm, the concrete wall behind the stage collapsed, leading to this accident. Talking about the incident, Baroch Khan, owner of Heritage Juma Resort, said around 40 guests were present there for an evening cultural program when the wall collapsed.

Who is Swaroop Khan?
Folk singer Swaroop Khan of Barisiala village is known for lending his voice in songs like superhit song ‘Tharki Chhokro’ from the film PK and ‘Ghoomar’ from ‘Padmaavat’. He also participated in Indian Idol and got his first Bollywood break when composer Bappi Lahiri gave him a chance to sing the title track of the film ‘Emotional Atyachar’.
