‘Peddi’ continues to shine at the box office, pace of Varun Dhawan and Bobby Deol’s films slows down

Mumbai The box office results of the films released in theaters this week have started coming out. While on one hand Ram Charan’s Telugu film ‘Peddi’ has joined the Rs 100 crore club by making great earnings, on the other hand, Varun Dhawan and Bobby Deol’s new films are not getting the expected support from the audience. Varun Dhawan’s film ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ could not do well at the box office on the second day as well. The film did a business of Rs 7.25 crore on Saturday, while its earning on the first day was Rs 7.50 crore. That is, there was a slight decline in the film’s earnings on the second day. The total collection of the film in two days has reached Rs 14.75 crore.

The film is directed by David Dhawan. In this, Mrunal Thakur, Pooja Hegde, Mouni Roy, Manish Paul, Johnny Lever and Rajpal Yadav are seen in lead roles along with Varun Dhawan. Bobby Deol’s film ‘Bandar’ is also seen struggling at the box office. The film earned Rs 95 lakh on the second day, while its collection on the first day was Rs 50 lakh. Although there was some increase in the earnings on the second day, the film is still doing business in lakhs instead of crores. Its total collection in two days has been Rs 1.45 crore.

Apart from Bobby Deol, Sapna Pabbi and Sanya Malhotra are also in important roles in this film directed by Anurag Kashyap. On the other hand, South superstar Ramcharan’s film ‘Peddi’ is continuously performing well at the box office. The film earned Rs 28.85 crore on the third day, while its collection on the second day was Rs 26.90 crore. The total business of the film in three days has reached Rs 125.25 crore. ‘Peddi’ has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in the first weekend of its release and has become one of the most successful films at the box office at present. The film has been released in many languages including Hindi, due to which it is getting good response from the audience across the country.

Looking at the early trends of the box office, it is believed that the earnings of ‘Peddi’ may increase further in the coming days, while Varun Dhawan and Bobby Deol’s films will need strong word of mouth to draw the audience to the theatres.
