Fire in the scanning room of Delhi’s Karkardooma Court, documents burnt to ashes
New Delhi. There was chaos in the Karkardooma Court complex of the capital Delhi due to a fire in the scanning room on Sunday morning. The fire broke out in the scanning room located on the second floor near Gate No. 4 of the court complex. As soon as the information was received, eight fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and after about 40 minutes of effort, the fire was completely controlled.
According to the fire department, the fire was reported at 5:22 am. After this, immediate relief and rescue operation was started. At 6:05 am, the Divisional Officer issued a ‘stop message’ and confirmed the fire under control. There is no report of any casualty or injury in the incident.
However, due to the fire, some documents kept in the scanning room got burnt and destroyed. Official information about what type of documents these were and how much loss has been caused has not been revealed yet. The concerned department is assessing the loss. Initially the cause of the fire has not been known. Police and fire department are busy investigating the matter.
Officials say that the real cause of the fire will be revealed only after the investigation report comes. It is noteworthy that in recent times, many incidents of fire have come to light in Delhi. In such a situation, questions are once again being raised regarding fire safety arrangements in public buildings.
