Stock market rises for the fourth day due to fall in crude oil, Sensex crosses 77 thousand
New Delhi. Due to continuous falling trend in the price of crude oil, the domestic stock market managed to close strongly for the fourth consecutive trading day today. In today’s trading, Sensex once again reached above the level of 77 thousand points.
Similarly, Nifty was successful in opening above 24 thousand points and closing above 24 thousand points only. After the whole day’s trading, Sensex closed with a gain of 0.45 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.40 percent.
Today, during the day’s trading, there was continuous buying in shares of consumer durables, capital goods and metal sectors. Similarly, IT, Banking, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Tech and Public Sector Enterprise indices also closed with strength.
On the other hand, there was selling pressure in FMCG, automobile and realty sector shares today. Buying continued in the broader market today, due to which the Nifty Midcap index closed with a gain of 0.52 percent. Similarly, the Smallcap index ended today’s trading with a gain of 0.79 percent.
Today, due to the strength in the stock market, the wealth of stock market investors increased by about Rs 3.5 lakh crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased to Rs 475.17 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading.
Whereas on the last trading day i.e. Tuesday, their market capitalization was Rs 471.69 lakh crore. In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 3.48 lakh crore from today’s trading.
Today, there was active trading in 4,443 shares in BSE during the day’s trading. Of these, 2,404 shares closed with gains, while 1,876 shares closed with a decline, while 163 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 3,008 shares in NSE today.
Of these, 1,699 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 1,309 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 20 shares closed with gains and 10 shares closed with decline. Whereas out of 50 shares included in Nifty, 33 shares closed in green mark and 17 shares closed in red mark.
BSE Sensex today crossed the 77 thousand mark with a gain of 271.61 points and opened at 77,080.09 points. Due to selling pressure as soon as the trading started, this index fell by 39.99 points to the level of 76,768.49 points within a short time. After this, buyers started buying, due to which the movement of Sensex increased.
With the support of buying, the index rose by 410.51 points to reach the level of 77,218.99 points shortly before 12 noon. However, after this profit booking started, due to which there was a slight decline in the movement of this index. After the entire day’s trading, the Sensex closed at 77,155.62 points with a gain of 347.14 points.
Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty jumped 55.40 points today and started trading at 24,044.55 points. As profit booking started as soon as the market opened, this index fell by 19.45 points to the level of 23,969.70 points within a short time. After this, buyers started buying, due to which the movement of Nifty increased.
With the support of continuous buying, the index rose by 119.05 points to the level of 24,108.20 around 11:30 pm. After this, due to selling starting once again, there was a slight decline in the movement of this index. After the entire day’s trading, Nifty closed at 24,085.70 points with a gain of 96.55 points.
After the whole day’s trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, Trent Limited joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers with a gain of 7.07 percent, Bharat Electronics 3.02 percent, Hindalco Industries 2.60 percent, Eternal 1.89 percent and Tata Steel 1.54 percent.
On the other hand, TMPV 8.30 per cent, Cipla 1.63 per cent, ONGC 1.29 per cent, Bajaj Finserv 1.27 per cent and Axis Bank 1.08 per cent joined the list of today’s top 5 losers.
