Allegations of alleged misappropriation of cash and jewelery by switching off CCTV

Ayodhya: Many major updates have come to light in the case of alleged theft of donations and jewelery offered by devotees in the Ram temple. The facts revealed during the investigation have raised serious questions on the temple’s donation system, counting of offerings and security management. Meanwhile, during his visit to Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured that the culprits will not be spared at any cost and the truth of the entire matter will be revealed in the next 15 days.

‘Government will not spare those who play with faith’
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Ayodhya for the first time after the revelation of alleged theft in offerings in Ram temple. After having darshan of Ramlala, he said that the government will not spare those who play with the faith of crores of Ram devotees. He said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is investigating the case and no matter how influential a person is, if he is found guilty then action will be taken against him. Appealed for patience till completion. He also targeted the opposition parties and said that efforts to defame Ayodhya and Ram temple will not succeed.

Political meanings are being extracted even from the distance from Champat Rai.
Another thing was the topic of discussion during the Chief Minister’s visit. Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai was not seen with him this time. It is being told that before the Chief Minister’s visit, the district administration had sent a message to the Trust that this time some other representative should be present in place of Champat Rai. However, no official comment has been made in this regard.

Big challenge in front of SIT, old footage has been deleted
The SIT investigating the case has to submit the preliminary report in seven days and the final report in 15 days. But the biggest challenge before the investigating agency is CCTV footage. The recordings of the cameras installed in the temple premises and counting center remain safe only for 45 days and after that they are automatically deleted. In the footage obtained by the investigators, some employees were allegedly seen hiding the amount of the offering. They have been identified and their interrogation is ongoing. However, their names have not been made public yet.

Who are the people on whom are the investigating agencies keeping an eye?
The focus of the investigation is on several people associated with temple management and counting of offerings. Among these, the names of trust member Anil Mishra, construction assistant Gopal Rao, Tinnu Yadav, KD Tiwari, Subhash Srivastava, Rajesh Pathak, Manish Yadav, Karun, Hrithik, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra and Somesh and others have come to light. Most questions are being raised regarding the role of trust member Anil Mishra. He was responsible for counting the offerings, depositing them in the bank and financial management. The SIT has interrogated him several times and is trying to find out how the people involved in counting were appointed and why the rules were not followed.
