‘Mirzapur: The Movie’: There is already a lot of buzz on social media about ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’. A few posters were revealed earlier along with the announcement of the film, but now the makers have also shared a new update with two new posters. The makers have made it clear that the teaser is coming soon. The release of the film is scheduled for September, the teaser is being released almost three months before that. The teaser release date has been announced with Pankaj Tripathi’s Kaleen Bhaiya look from ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’. The posters that have come out are also harsh and Kaleen Bhaiya’s anger is clearly visible.

Before the teaser launch tomorrow i.e. on 25th June, the makers have released two amazing new posters, which have once again given the fans a glimpse of the world of Mirzapur. Being one of the most-awaited films of the year, the excitement around this franchise continues to grow and the announcement of the teaser has added to the buzz. The first poster features the same iconic throne at the center with guns placed on either side, instantly evoking memories of the power struggle, rivalry and drama that made Mirzapur a sensation.

Even though this poster keeps the story of the film under wraps, it reminds us that the world of Mirzapur is set to return in a very big way. With the teaser dropping tomorrow, fans are in for a special treat as they will get the first glimpse of the film. Along with this, another glimpse has also been shared, in which Pankaj Tripathi is seen wearing tilak on his forehead. His style looks even stronger than before. Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ is directed by Gurmeet Singh, written by Punit Krishna and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Kasim Jagmagiya and Vishal Ramachandrani and is set for a grand release in theaters worldwide on 4 September 2026.

Apart from Kaalin Bhaiya i.e. Pankaj Tripathi, many such characters who are loved by the fans will also return in ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’, which includes Guddu Bhaiya i.e. Ali Fazal and Munna Bhaiya i.e. Divyendu. Apart from this, many new stars are also going to be a part of the show. Which includes names like Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Sushant Singh, Sonal Chauhan and Mohit Malik. The cast of the film is going to be very big, in which Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Duggal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Pramod Pathak and Anangsha Biswas will also be seen in important roles.
Why is the film taking so much time to release?
Emphasizing the importance of a strong story in making a film, Pankaj Tripathi had told NDTV that the makers had started working on the script soon after the announcement of the project in 2024. According to him, the production of a film should start only when the team is completely sure about the story they want to tell. Comparing the process of making tea, he said, ‘Only when the tea is boiled properly, we filter it.’ He further said that when the story was completely ready and improved, the makers had the confidence to move ahead and tell the release date.
