Bharat Tiwari encounter: Post mortem confirmed five bullets, all eyes on investigation
Bhojpur/Patna. Political excitement has intensified after the post mortem report came out in the famous Bharat Bhushan Tiwari encounter case in Bhojpur district of Bihar.
The post mortem report has confirmed that Bharat Bhushan Tiwari had five bullets in his body. The investigation into the matter is ongoing and the government has made it clear that action will be taken against the culprits on the basis of the investigation report.
According to the post mortem report, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari was hit by a total of five bullets. Of these, the first bullet was in the upper front part of the left thigh, the second in the inner middle part of the left thigh, the third in the inner middle part of the right thigh, the fourth in the inner part of the outer right thigh and the fifth bullet was in the back middle part of the left leg.
The findings revealed in the report also match with the initial medical examination in which Bharat Bhushan Tiwari was brought to Ara Sadar Hospital in a seriously injured condition. At that time, the surgeon of the hospital, Dr. M.H. Ansari had told that four to five bullets had hit his leg and lower stomach.
Meanwhile, reacting on the matter, National Working President of Janata Dal (United) and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Jha said that the government is taking this matter seriously.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has already made it clear that strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. He said that the investigation of the case has started and its responsibility has been handed over to a retired judge.
The government will take necessary action after receiving the investigation report. He also said that politics should not be done on this sensitive issue. It is noteworthy that on June 17, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari was killed during a police encounter in Biloti village of Bhojpur district.
After the incident, family members had alleged that Bharat had surrendered by throwing away his weapon, yet the police shot him. After this allegation, the matter became controversial and demands for an impartial investigation began to be raised.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, an FIR has been registered against five policemen including the concerned Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Station Incharge (SHO). At present, the investigation of the case is going on and the real picture of the entire incident will be clear only after the investigation report comes.
