Pakistan’s air strike, 36 civilians killed in Afghanistan, many houses destroyed
Kabul. The tension between the two countries has deepened after the air strike by Pakistan in Afghanistan. The Taliban government has claimed that 36 civilians, including women and children, were killed, while 163 people were injured in the air strikes in Paktia, Paktika and Kunar provinces. Many houses have also been completely destroyed.
Taliban government deputy spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat said in a statement issued on Monday that the deadliest attack took place in Mandokhel village in Chamkani district of Paktia province. According to him, first a civilian’s house was targeted, in which an elderly person and a child died. After this, when the villagers came to save the injured, the same place was bombed again. In this second attack, 28 people lost their lives and a large number were injured.
Fitrat said a house was also attacked in Walust village in Gyan district of Paktika province, killing six people. Most of them were women and children. At the same time, a house in Barolo village of Kunar province was completely destroyed, although there was no loss of life there.
On the other hand, Pakistan has justified this military action. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that security forces conducted the operation based on intelligence inputs in the border area. According to him, this action has been taken in response to the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
Here, the attack on the headquarters of Pakistan Sindh Rangers in Karachi has made the situation more tense. Three paramilitary soldiers and three attackers were killed in this attack. A terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. After the latest developments, there is a possibility of increase in security and diplomatic tension on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
