BJP’s attack on outsourcing of jobs, allegation of playing with the future of youth

Jammu. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokespersons Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia, Zorawar Singh Jamwal and Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC) government of Jammu and Kashmir over the alleged outsourcing of 25 thousand government jobs.

He alleged that the government has carried out an unprecedented recruitment scam by making backdoor appointments through contractors instead of providing regular government employment to the youth.

BJP leaders said that the National Conference government, which had promised to provide one lakh government jobs in the election manifesto, is now snatching away opportunities from eligible candidates through outsourcing instead of adopting a transparent recruitment process.

They alleged that money transactions and political recommendations have been promoted in these appointments and the open and fair recruitment process through the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) has been bypassed.

Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia alleged that this is an extension of the old working style of the NC-Congress alliance. He said that in the past also there have been allegations of backdoor appointments in previous governments.

He also said that injustice was done to the doctors who served in the valley during the difficult times of terrorism, while some people who returned after living abroad for years were being given the benefit of government jobs.

Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that this is the biggest alleged recruitment scam in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. He alleged that instead of regular recruitment through SSRB, the government handed over 25 thousand government jobs to contractors through outsourcing.

According to him, outsourcing of government jobs is an example of institutional corruption and has played with the future of the youth of the state.

Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu said that while on one hand parents are spending their hard-earned money on the education of their children, on the other hand injustice is being done to the deserving youth by giving priority to people allegedly having political patronage.

He warned that if needed, BJP workers will take to the streets for the rights and employment of the youth. BJP spokespersons demanded the government to immediately withdraw the outsourcing policy, conduct a CBI inquiry into the entire matter and conduct an impartial inquiry into all the appointments made so far.

He said that government jobs should be given only on the basis of merit, ability and transparent selection process. Also urged the government that instead of snatching employment opportunities from the youth, they should be provided equal opportunities by starting a regular and transparent recruitment process.
