Boiled potatoes: 2 (mashed, for binding)
Onion: 1 finely chopped
Green chilli: 2-3 finely chopped
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
Coriander: finely chopped
Red chilli powder: half teaspoon
Garam masala: half teaspoon
Chaat masala: 1 tsp
Salt: as per taste

method of making

step 1
First of all, boil the soaked chana dal with some water and a little salt in the cooker till 1-2 whistles. Keep in mind that the dal should not be cooked too much, just till it becomes soft. Now filter out the excess water from the lentils and grind it coarsely in a mixer without adding water.

Step 2
Take out the coarsely ground dal in a large mixing bowl. Add boiled and mashed potatoes, finely chopped onion, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste and green coriander to it.

Step 3
Now add red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala and salt as per taste in this mixture. Mix everything well with hands so that a good kebab dough is prepared.

Step 4
Apply some oil on your hands. Now take a small portion of the mixture and give it a round or oval shape as per your choice and shape it into kebab or tikki.

Step 5
Heat 2-3 spoons of oil in a non-stick pan or tawa. When the oil is hot, reduce the flame to medium and place the kebabs in the pan. Bake them well by turning them repeatedly until they become golden and crispy on both sides. Then enjoy it.
