Auraiya. A 15-year-old teenager committed suicide by hanging himself under suspicious circumstances late on Monday night in village Seupur of Achalda development block area in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh.
As soon as information about the incident was received, there was an outcry in the family. Police reached the spot after receiving information and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police are investigating the reasons for suicide.
Komal Rajput, 15 year old son of village resident Chandrabhan Rajput, was in his room on Monday night. When his family members saw him late at night, they found him hanging from the fan with the help of his dupatta.
The family members immediately brought him down, but by then he had died. The incident brought great grief to the family and there was mourning in the house.
Chandrabhan Rajput, father of the deceased, informed on dial-112 at around 11 pm. As soon as the information was received, Dial-112 police team and Pata outpost in-charge Narendra Kumar reached the spot.
Police inspected the spot and collected necessary evidence and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Pata outpost in-charge Narendra Kumar said that prima facie the case appears to be a suicide.
At present the family members are being interrogated and the reasons behind the incident are being ascertained. Further legal action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report and facts revealed in the investigation.
