What changes can be seen in the body by not eating sugar for 14 days?

Do not eat sugar: Eating sweet things improves our taste buds. From morning tea to packed foods, people consume huge amounts of sugar. But this sugar is no less than poison for the body, its consumption is the cause of many serious diseases. From diabetes to fatty liver, obesity, low energy, sugar has become a silent killer. Gastroenterologist Dr. Shubham Vatsya, while sharing the video on his YouTube page, has told that if you do not consume sugar for 14 days, then what changes can be seen in your body?

The first three days may be difficult for you
Doctor Shubham Vatsya says that when you stop consuming sugar, you may have to face difficulties in the beginning. Due to this, you may experience cravings, headache, low mood, fatigue and feel like eating something sweet again and again, hence your energy may go down in the first two or three days. However, some people may lose water weight, hence they also feel light. To break the sugar cravings in the first two days, it is important to increase the amount of protein and fiber in your diet. Increase water intake and use fruits not in juice form. These three may be difficult for you, but if you do not consume sugar in any form during these three days, then things will be easier for you in future.

Metabolism starts getting better from the fourth day onwards
If you stop your sugar cravings for three days, then some changes may be seen in your metabolism from the fourth and fifth day. When your body does not get sugar, the frequency of spikes in blood glucose and insulin starts decreasing. From this day your craving for sweets starts reducing. After reducing sugar intake, the urge to eat too much sugar reduces. At this stage, if you consume protein, fiber and healthy foods in your diet, then the sugar cravings reduce further. But if you take tea, biscuits or salty snacks for breakfast or snacks, then sugar cravings will start coming back.

Real change is visible from the eighth day:
In this phase you will not feel sugar cravings. In the first week the body fights the habit of sweets. But by the second week, blood sugar and insulin levels begin to stabilize, and the brain’s dopamine signals recalibrate.

Overall, you should not consume fruit juice, cold drinks, biscuits, cakes, tea and packet snacks during these 14 days. Yes, you can consume fruits because fiber, minerals and vitamins are found in it. Doctors say that this fourteen day challenge is not a weight loss challenge for you but a completely no sugar challenge.
