Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister will give crop insurance amount of Rs 1460 crore to 10.54 lakh farmers

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer the amount of 1460.25 crores of Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme to the accounts of 10.54 lakh farmers from Jagdishpur in Bhopal district on Sunday, July 19. A meeting of the Council of Ministers will also be held in Jagdishpur on the same day.

Giving information on Saturday, Public Relations Officer Avneesh Somkuar said that from the inception year of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana till the year 2024-25, a payment of Rs 30,942.34 crore has been made to the affected farmers.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is an ambitious and important scheme of the Government of India. The main objective of this scheme is to protect the financial interests of farmers by paying insurance claims in case of crop damage due to natural disasters.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this time due to El Nino effect, a good monsoon is not expected. In such a situation, farmers should get their notified crops insured before the scheduled date, so that they can get financial assistance in case of loss in yield. Madhya Pradesh government is with the farmers in every situation and is continuously working for the welfare of the farmers.
