Lucknow. With the aim of giving India global leadership in the ‘knowledge economy’ of the 21st century and creating a nationalistic, characterful and innovation-capable student force, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has put forward its vision of the future.

The organization says that only through coordination of knowledge, research, skills, innovation and Indian cultural values ​​can India become the world’s leading knowledge superpower.

With this objective, ABVP will intensify the campaign to create aware, capable and cultured student power in the campuses across the country by combining education reform, character building and nation building.

After playing a decisive role at the national level on student welfare issues for the last decade, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has now resolved to take India towards a world class education system.

Ghanshyam Shahi, Regional Organization Minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (Eastern Uttar Pradesh region), said in the conversation that the basic objective of ABVP is not only to solve the problems of the students, but to create youth with character, capable, socially responsible and leadership abilities for every sphere of national life.

The Council believes that the dream of Vishwaguru India will be realized only when the country’s education system becomes world-class, transparent, research-based, technology-enabled and student-centric.

He said that with this goal in mind, the council will run a nationwide campaign in the coming times regarding transparent recruitment and entrance examination system, comprehensive reforms in NTA, effective control on paper leaks, time-bound academic calendar, fee regulation law, six percent of GDP expenditure on education, modern hostels, expansion of digital and research facilities, promotion of startups and innovation, safe campus and quality and affordable education.

The Regional Organization Minister said that this vision of education reform has evolved from the experiences of movements, public awareness campaigns and democratic struggles for the welfare of students across the country in the last decade.

From the protest against the increase in medical college fees in Kerala to the demand for filling hostels and vacant posts of teachers in central universities, scholarship, safety of girl students, protest against commercialization of education, increase in medical seats, rights of researchers, interest of students during the Covid period.

ABVP has continuously raised the voice of students at the national level on issues like CUET and NTA reforms, nationwide movement against NEET paper leak, scholarship and fee reimbursement in Telangana, protest against fee hike in Himachal Pradesh University and irregularities in NEET-2026.

He said that the organization is not identified only with movements, but with constructive nation building. The Council strives to make every educational institution in India a center of excellence, innovation, research and ethical values, so that Indian students can play a leading role in global competition.

Pledge of ‘Student first, education supreme and nation supreme’
He said that students first, education supreme and nation supreme is the working culture of ABVP.

The Council’s endeavor in the coming years will be to prepare nationalistic, cultured and society-oriented student power to establish India not only as an educated nation but also as the world’s leading ‘knowledge economy’ and ‘Vishwaguru’ on the strength of knowledge, research, innovation and cultural values. With this goal, ABVP will give new impetus to the campaign of education reform and nation building in the campuses across the country.
