Patna: Students protested heavily in Patna on Wednesday demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Students also took out a protest march towards Raj Bhavan. During the march there was a fierce confrontation between the police and thousands of students. During this, the Patna Police officer got hurt and started bleeding. Seeing this, other policemen got a little scared. Seeing this, Patna West Superintendent of Police IPS Saket Kumar took charge and gave strict warning to the policemen and directed them to take action. Its video has also surfaced.

It is seen in the video that Patna West Superintendent of Police IPS Saket Kumar, wearing a helmet and holding a baton in his hand, gives a strict warning to the policemen standing with him. Saket Kumar says- ‘If I step back, I will not be able to do the job.’

To this some policemen reply ‘Yes sir’. Immediately after this, SP Saheb and the policemen rush towards the protesters and attack them to push them back.

In fact, the security forces stopped the march on JP Golambar by placing barricades, due to which there was tension in the city for hours. During this time, the students were asked to return peacefully. When the protesters tried to cross the barricades, the police initially fired water cannon and tear gas shells. When the mob continued to advance, lathicharge was used to disperse the protesters.

During this time the students became more aggressive. The students also started pelting stones in self-defence. Some policemen were injured in this. Some protesters have also been injured. However, despite the police action, thousands of students remained standing at the protest site and kept raising slogans.
