Trains will not stop at 17 stations in Delhi today, DMRC advisory issued
New Delhi. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday has decided to keep many metro stations of the capital temporarily closed in view of security arrangements.
According to DMRC, 17 metro stations will remain closed from 7:30 am on July 24 till further orders. During this period, entry and exit of passengers at these stations will be completely closed.
However, only line changing facility will be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat metro stations. That is, passengers will be able to change trains at these stations, but will not be allowed to exit or enter the station.
In a message issued on social media platform
DMRC has appealed to passengers to check the latest updates in the information released on social media platforms before planning their journey and adopt alternative routes.
Passengers have been advised to keep an eye on DMRC’s official channels for latest information related to metro service.
According to DMRC, this precautionary step has been taken in view of the proposed demonstration of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar.
Due to the protest, traffic is likely to be affected on many major routes of Delhi. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to temporarily close the metro stations.
