In the alert issued by the Meteorological Department, it has been said that in the coming few hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Prayagraj.
Lucknow Center of Meteorological Department has issued a warning of such a possibility on Saturday.
According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, the weather may change rapidly in many districts including Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Chitrakoot, Banda, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Kanpur Nagar.
People have been appealed to avoid standing in open spaces, under trees and electric poles and stay in safe places.
CSA Kanpur meteorologist Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey said while talking to phone that at present monsoon activities are active and there is enough moisture in the atmosphere.
Due to this, thunder and lightning clouds are developing at the local level. He said that in the next few hours, light to moderate rainfall with strong winds may occur at many places and good rain at isolated places.
Farmers have been advised to keep abreast of the latest weather information while working in the fields and avoid stopping in open fields during lightning.
Dr. Pandey said that avoid unnecessary movement in waterlogged areas during rains and keep a constant eye on the latest warnings issued by the Meteorological Department.
