WPL 2026 Auction: Players Who Could Spark Bidding Wars
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 auction will begin at 3:30 PM IST on Thursday, November 27, in New Delhi, with the five franchises set to fill 73 available slots from a pool of nearly 300 players.

A total of 73 slots are available in the auction, with 50 reserved for Indian players and 23 for overseas recruits. Each franchise can have a maximum squad size of 18 players, including up to six overseas members, while the minimum squad size is 15. After the first 67 players go under the hammer, the accelerated round will begin, during which franchises will nominate a set number of players from the remaining pool. Once that process is completed, teams will also be allowed to submit the names of unpresented or unsold players from the full list of 277 for further bidding.
