IPL 2026 Auction: Country-wise Breakdown of Players in the Pool
The latest edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction will take place on December 16, 2025, in Abu Dhabi. A total of 1,355 players had registered for the mini auction ahead of the IPL 2026 season, but the list has since been trimmed to 359 by the organisers.
Of the shortlisted players, 244 are from India, following the addition of nine names to the original list released by the governing body. Australia and England lead the overseas representation, with 21 and 22 players respectively.
Ireland pacer Josh Little is the lone representative from his country, while Malaysia’s Virandeep Singh has also been included in the final shortlist.
