Why is Jemimah Rodrigues not featuring in IND vs SL, fourth T20I, Playing XI?

Jemimah Rodrigues was unavailable for selection in Sunday’s fourth Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.

After skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss, she confirmed the same, saying the star batter was down with an illness. Harleen Deol replaced her in the playing eleven.

“Jemimah Rodrigues was unavailable for selection in the 4th T20I in Thiruvananthapuram due to weakness arising from mild fever. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring her progress and recovery,” a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India read.

The 25-year-old batter from Mumbai smashed an unbeaten half-century (69* off 44 balls) during the first match of the series, guiding the Women in Blue to an eight-wicket win. She also followed it up with a 15-ball 26 in the second match.
