Meg Lanning becomes third player to reach 1000 runs in WPL
Former Australia captain Meg Lanning became the third player in the history of the Women’s Premier League to reach 1000 runs.
Lanning, who leads UP Warriorz, reached the milestone on Wednesday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai during the WPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals.
The other players to reach the four-digit mark in the tournament are England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who incidentally reached the feat on Tuesday against the Gujarat Giants.
