Harleen Deol smacks half-century against Mumbai Indians, day after being ‘retired out’ in WPL 2026
India international Harleen Deol smached a 32-ball half-century on Thursday in a Women’s Premier League match against Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
The UPW batter notched up her fifty with a boundary during her side’s 162-run chase in the 16th over.
But on Wednesday, Harleen ‘retired out’ during the WPL 2026 match between the Warriorz and Delhi Capitals.
The 27-year-old batter from Chandigarh was on 47 off 36 balls when head coach Abhishek Nayar seemed to ask her to come off ahead of the 18th over. Her replacement, Chloe Tryon, was soon dismissed by N. Shree Charani as the South Africa all-rounder could score just the one run off three balls.
She became only the second player in WPL’s history to be ‘retired out’ after Gujarat Giants’ Ayushi Soni was brought off against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
