Delhi Capitals (DC) duo of Deeya Yadav and Mamatha Madiwala was on Friday ruled out of the remainder of the 2026 Women’s Premier League due to injuries.
Deeya recently became the tournament’s youngest player when she was handed her debut in the league stage fixture against Mumbai Indians in Vadodara. On the other hand, Mamatha was yet to make her WPL debut.
DC picked Pragati Singh and Eddla Srujana as replacements for Deeya and Mamatha. Both replacements join the franchise for Rs. 10 lakh each.
“Pragati is an all-rounder who has represented Punjab Women, India B Women Under-19, and India E Women teams so far in her career. Srujana has been part of the Delhi Capitals setup as net bowler and has now been signed as a replacement player for the remainder of WPL 2026,” the franchise said in a statement.
